The Audiologist - Per Diem will:

The Audiologist - Per Diem will:
- Select, fit, and dispense hearing aids and other hearing assistive devices, as well as the assessment and follow-up services for persons with cochlear implants
- Provide care to patients of all age groups from pediatrics up to and including geriatrics
- Communicate and work closely with Medical Staff and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in clinical education programs and departmental program development in assigned areas
- Practice in accordance with professional code of ethics and New Jersey State Practice Act
- Requires a Master’s degree or Doctorate Degree, graduate of an entry level master’s or doctorate program in Audiology from a college or university accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology (CAA)
- Complete a clinical internship of nine months of full-time professional employment under a licensed supervisor, unless in an exempt setting; ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) is preferred but not required; clinical internship applies only to applicants with a master’s degree
- Requires a current New Jersey State license and registration in Audiology or eligibility
- New Jersey State Hearing Aid Dispensing license preferred but not necessary. Previous experience preferred but not necessary
- New graduates acceptable
- Requires analytic ability, use of independent judgment and sufficient interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with patients, families, students, peers and other health care professionals
