Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Director of Youth and Family Ministries to serve as a ministry partner to the Senior Pastor and Church Council, supporting the congregation’s mission of nurturing faith, building community, and walking alongside young people as they grow in relationship with Christ. This position focuses on building meaningful relationships with youth and children and their families, coordinating faith formation opportunities, and fostering a welcoming, Christ-centered environment rooted in discipleship, connection, and care. This is a highly service-oriented position with frequent interaction with internal and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Build trusting, meaningful relationships with youth, children and their families.
- Plan and lead engaging, faith-centered youth and children’s programming.
- Develop and maintain an annual youth and children’s ministry calendar.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers.
- Communicate regularly with parents and the congregation.
- Attend church meetings and provide ministry updates.
- Assist with transportation for youth and family activities as needed.
Qualifications
- A genuine, growing commitment to the Christian faith.
- A heart for youth and family ministry and walking alongside young people.
- Coursework or training in Christian Education, Youth Ministry, or a related field.
- Experience working with youth and children in a church or ministry setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-starter with strong initiative. Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Physical ability to actively engage with youth and lift up to 25 pounds.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
