Job Summary
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus
Plans, directs, coordinates, and controls resources of the Food and Nutrition Services Department to provide excellent service to the
customers, employees and patients. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other
related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Food Service Management or related field
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in related field
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 to 7 years of hospital or nursing home experience depending on formal degree and
training.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: NA
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certified Food Manager by the San Antonio Metropolitan Health
District or ANSI Accredited Food Manager Certificate.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Licensed/Registered Dietitian and/or Certified Dietary Manager.
Possession of current licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Dietitians and current registration with
the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
