Middle School Religion Teacher
St Louis de Montfort School, Fishers is seeking a full time Catholic Religion teacher for Middle School (grades 6-8). The position will begin with the 24-25 school year. We are looking for a dynamic, faith-filled teacher who wants to be part of a close supportive faith community and who is passionate about the Catholic faith.
The teacher will provide the following services:
- Provide students with engaging instruction
- Provide students with appropriate assessments
- Plan for individual differences and levels of learning
- Maintain classroom management
- Participate in additional shared school duties
- Collaborate successfully with others
- Instruct students in knowledge of the Catholic faith, Catechism of the Catholic Church, and more
Employee Qualifications:
- Since this is a religious ministerial position, the teacher must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
- Have an ability to develop students’ understanding of the Catholic faith
- Be an example of Christ and live according to Catholic principles.
- Have completed coursework or a degree in Catholic Theology
- Pass “Safe and Sacred” Certification
- Pass criminal background check
- Participate in professional development, teacher committees, and meetings
- Be a model of Christian beliefs
