As a Special School District (SSD) coordinator, you provide crucial support and guidance to special education staff. You will manage and guide the provision of special education programming in the districts you serve and be relied upon by SSD teaching and support staff as a resilient and empathetic leader. Through your unwavering commitment to fostering an equitable, inclusive, and accessible learning environment and close collaboration with families, teachers, and other stakeholders, you will ensure every student is empowered to excel to their greatest potential.

Special education coordinators work in districts throughout St. Louis County, Monday through Friday, typically 8 AM to 4:30 PM. We are currently seeking coordinators in the following districts:

Clayton/Bayless

Hazelwood

Jennings

Ladue

Mehlville

Ritenour

Riverview

University City

The primary office for each position will be within the district served, but travel to various buildings in the district, as well as SSD’s Learning Center and Central Office, will be required.
