We are seeking an experienced and passionate chess teacher to join our dynamic team of instructors. The ideal candidate for this role should have a solid background in both education and chess, demonstrating an enthusiasm for working with students, and the capability to perform tasks efficiently and accurately. Success in this position requires previous teaching experience, a profound passion for promoting the game of chess and enhancing students' cognitive abilities, alongside strong communication skills. The Chess Teacher will be entrusted with the planning of enriching chess lessons, delivering high-quality instruction, and assessing students' progress in mastering chess strategies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement chess-focused lesson plans that are in line with our Chess Club's curriculum, contributing to students' overall analytical and problem-solving skills.
Travel to various schools around the region, promoting the game of chess and fostering an environment of competitive learning.
Provide thorough instruction on a wide array of chess topics, from basic rules and tactics to advanced strategies, creating a comprehensive chess learning experience for our students.
Assess student performance and progress in chess, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and tailoring future lessons to meet individual learning needs.
Maintain a safe and orderly chess-centric classroom environment that promotes strategic thinking and encourages respectful competition.
Regularly communicate with parents, guardians, and supervisors about students' chess progress, ensuring they are informed and involved in the students' chess learning journey.
Participate in chess-related professional development activities on a quarterly basis, staying updated with the latest chess education methodologies and strategies.
