What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Dishwasher position at Saint Joseph Villa?
SUMMARY OF JOB:
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of pots, pans, and utensils used in daily preparation of food; maintain overall sanitation of pot room area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Wash pots, pans and utensils used in preparation of food.
- Monitor water temperature, cleanliness and sanitizer concentration of sinks throughout the day.
- Assure that pots and utensils are clean and properly stored after meal periods, and readily available for next meal.
- Assist in waste reduction by consulting with cooks and managers before disposing of leftover food; report any excessive leftover items to manager.
- Dispose of trash from production and dish machine areas as needed to assure a safe and clean environment.
- Sweep and clean floors in designated area of kitchen.
- Monitor floors for spills and other unsafe conditions while performing trash removal.
- Assist in maintaining storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner.
- Perform daily cleaning assignment and maintain pot room and table in a clean and safe manner routinely throughout the day.
- Assist as needed for special meals, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, as needed.
- Adhere to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Complete annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibit behavior as set forth by the Code of Compliance in the performance of their duties.
- Adheres to the Organizations Policies and Procedures regarding the Compliance Program of the organization and is timely in reporting any possible concerns.
- Follows all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to their position.
- Adhere to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Previous work experience is a plus
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Moderate physical effort:
- Lift/carry up to 30 lbs.

- Frequent kneeling/stooping/crouching/reaching/bending
- Frequently moves/lifts supplies or equipment
- Frequently handles, pushes residents
- Ability to communicate verbally.
- Reading/seeing/writing requires far and near visual acuity, field vision, and color vision to read written communications.
- Must be able to write legibly.
- Eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity to perform the duties of a Villa Services Assistant.
- Movement of the neck for motions associated with operating a vehicle
- Strong organization skills for clerical duties.
