Saint Joseph East also includes the Women's Hospital at Saint Joseph East which is dedicated to supporting the well-being of women in Central and Eastern Kentucky and serves a 16-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Pay Range
$23.69 - $35.24 /hour

- Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Functions as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures by:

Assembling supplies and equipment required for the procedure;
Preparing and organizing sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure;
Performing accounting procedures in concert with the RN circulator;
Assisting with placement of sterile drapes;
Providing instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure;
Maintaining an organized sterile field;
Ensuring sterility of the field and taking corrective actions as needed; and
Preparing sterile dressings. - Cleans and prepares surgical instruments for processing and transports them to the decontamination areas.
- Assists with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
- Participates in ongoing educational and competency verification activities applicable to scrub person activities.
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.

Job Requirements
Required
- Technical School Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program and Experience with varied high tech surgical equipment., upon hire
- Certified Surgical Technologist, upon hire or
- Technologist in Surgery-Certified, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
