Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Athletic Trainer at Saint Joseph High School in South Bend, IN. The Athletic Trainer will deliver high-quality care through the prevention, assessment, and treatment of athletic injuries, as well as provide rehabilitation and strength and conditioning programs. The role includes collaboration with student-athletes, coaches, and healthcare providers to develop and implement training protocols, maintain accurate documentation, and promote overall health and wellness among athletes.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Injury Prevention and Prevention strategies to ensure athlete safety and reduce the risk of injuries.
- Expertise in Athletic Training and Rehabilitation techniques with the ability to respond to and manage acute injuries effectively.
- Proficiency in creating and implementing Strength & Conditioning programs to enhance physical performance and recovery.
- Experience in working collaboratively with coaches, athletes, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute comprehensive care plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) credential and licensure in the state of Indiana or the ability to obtain it prior to starting the role.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Experience working in a high school setting is a plus.
