Duties
- Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools to maintain lawns and landscaped areas efficiently
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, edging, and mulching to ensure healthy growth and visual appeal
- Use hand tools and machinery like shovels, rakes, and hedge trimmers for detailed gardening and landscaping work
- Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal using appropriate equipment such as chainsaws or excavators when necessary
- Support snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients
- Maintain equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
Requirements
- Proven experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and landscaping equipment is highly desirable
- Ability to operate machinery such as excavators or other construction-related equipment is a plus
- Strong understanding of horticulture principles and landscape design concepts
- Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming and pruning techniques
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions with stamina and attention to safety
