What are the responsibilities and job description for the PART TIME LAUNDRY ATTENDANT position at SAINT JOHN XXIII HOME?
At Saint John 23rd Home, we are dedicated to providing compassionate care and a clean, comfortable environment for our residents. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team and help us maintain a high standard of cleanliness for our residents’ clothing, linens, and facility laundry needs.
48 to 56 Hours per Pay
Responsibilities:
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry and linens
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor laundry supplies and notify supervisor when reordering is needed
- Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times
- Handle residents’ personal clothing with care and attention to detail
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area
- Assist with other housekeeping tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience a plus, but not required (will train)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for long periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Compassion and respect for residents in a healthcare setting
