Position Profile: High School Mathematics Teacher
Purpose Statement
Saint John School is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Full-Time High School Mathematics Instructor. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Uphold the mission and philosophy of Catholic education; model Gospel values
- Support and participate in school faith life, service, and community activities
- Follow all school and Diocese policies and procedures
- Plan and deliver effective, standards-based instruction aligned to curriculum
- Use appropriate resources, technology, and varied instructional strategies to engage students
- Assess student learning using a range of formative and summative methods
- Maintain accurate records and a positive, well-managed classroom environment
- Communicate with parents regarding academic and behavioral concerns
- Demonstrate professionalism through reliability, organization, and adherence to deadlines
- Participate in required professional development
- Keep administration informed of needs and concerns
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid State of Ohio Teaching License or Certificate for the designated teaching assignment
- Compliance with the Diocese of Youngstown Policies for Teacher Licensure and assignment
