Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher, ensuring smooth instructional continuity.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
- Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Communicate regularly with school staff, including teachers, administrators, and support personnel.
- Follow school policies and mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with safety and confidentiality standards.
- Support students’ social-emotional development through positive interactions and behavior management techniques.
Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience in early childhood education, elementary, or secondary settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and curriculum implementation across multiple subjects such as literacy, math, or special education.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent-teacher interactions and collaboration with colleagues.
- Candidates must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
