Full-Time High School Humanities Teacher
In preparation for the 2026-2027 school year, Saint John’s Catholic Prep is soliciting resumes for possible openings in the areas of Humanities.
Saint John’s Catholic Prep is searching for caring, career-minded education professionals to serve as part of our faculty, in the areas encompassed by Humanities. This includes Social Studies, English, and Visual Arts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan for and teach a full course load; 5 classes and 1 enrichment class per day
- Encourage, monitor, and promote student engagement through a positive learning environment
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
- Identify and/or develop resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds and learning styles
- Incorporate various forms of technology within lessons
- Monitor and evaluate student outcomes
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution
- Previous teaching experience in a professional setting preferred
- Positive, creative, solution-oriented person

The ideal candidate has a degree in Humanities, English, or Education, excellent teaching skills, previous experience with secondary school teaching, and strong computer skills, including Outlook, Google Classroom, G- suite, with a comfort level working in a 1:1 laptop environment. While independent school experience is preferred, it is not required.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate; however, variations in noise level may occur when the employee attends school functions such as assemblies, school dances, and other events.
