Description: Saint Ignatius College Prep is seeking a Director of Admissions. The Director of Admissions organizes and carries out the school’s recruitment and admissions programs in accordance with the school policies and goals and works to attract and maintain a diverse, academically qualified student body.
Job Summary:
Supervise and implement the Freshman Orientation Program.
Oversee the Campus Visit Coordinator’s organization/execution of the Campus Visit Program/Shadow Days.
Organize and coordinate a robust series of on-campus and virtual recruitment events.
Coordinate the recruitment of talented and diverse applicant pool by:
Managing grammar school visit schedule and recruitment team.
Maintaining a genuine rapport and good working relationship with grade schools/school representatives and high school placement teams.
Giving tours to prospective families throughout the year.
Communicating with a broad cross-section of prospective families and constituents.
Lead the design and development of recruitment and admission materials/media by:
Overseeing design and development of all promotional and public relations materials.
Coordinating production of all recruitment media including but not limited to all department videos.
Manage department web presence and regularly update admissions content.
Manage the preparation and implementation of online admissions processes, including online application, enrollment, and event registration.
Plan and budget for the school’s recruitment and admissions programs.
Organize, direct and execute all entrance exam administration.
Review and evaluate all applications for admission by:
Directing the application review team and reviewing applicants for admission.
Preparing reports for school leadership and the Admissions Committee.
Serve as a member of the Admissions Committee.
Notify applicants of admission decisions in an appropriate manner.
Plan, organize, and manage Freshman Family Meetings by:
Training faculty facilitators.
Preparing all Family Meeting materials.
Prepare all necessary reports for Assistant Prefect of Academics in advance of placement testing.
Collaborate with the Student Financial Services and Payroll Manager to promote the tuition assistance program.
Research national admissions best practices and collaborate with JSN admissions network to ensure innovative programmatic offerings by:
Regularly evaluating and refining department programming and admissions cycle.
To act as a liaison with other high schools for the accurate and timely referral of records for students not accepted at Saint Ignatius.
To represent the school in the Archdiocesan Recruiters’ Association.
To evaluate and organize all transfer applications and make appropriate recommendations to school leadership and the admissions committee.
To assign appropriate tasks and projects to department members.
To make periodic reports to the President and Prefect of Studies.
To serve as a member of the School Leadership Committee and Leadership Advisory Council.
Other duties as assigned.

Practicing Catholic preferred
BA degree/MA Preferred
Thorough knowledge of the culture of the school
Strong administrative, organizational, communication, and public relations skills

Evidence of ability and commitment to furthering the Jesuit, Catholic mission and identity of the school
