What's the job?
Provide Technical support to both internal and external customers. Establishing themselves as a Technical Specialist for steep slope roofing products (65 %)
Provide technical and warranty product assistance/letters to callers, TM's and Technical Services personnel. Provide quality customer service by processing and answering calls/emails regarding claims in a timely manner (Time on the phones will be predetermined and set for each day. Minimum of 2 hours per day) (25%)
Other projects as assigned (10%)
What do you bring?
- Associate degree in business - Required
- Bachelor's degree in business - Preferred
- 5 years Technical support with Roofing projects (Commercial or Residential Roofing). - Required
- Customer service experience - Required
- Problem Solving - The Technical Service Rep II must be able to "think on their feet", and use a variety of negotiating and people skills, as he/she is often times faced with disgruntled and angry homeowners and/or roofing contractors who may not be pleased with CertainTeed's disposition of their claims. The person in this position must always maintain a calm and professional attitude in the representation of our company. The position requires that the Rep have detailed knowledge of the entire CertainTeed roofing and Solar line of products and processes, familiar with the proper application procedures involving our products, and provide technical assistance/letters to customers, TM's Roofing Contractors, Distributors while answering call - Required
- Strong background in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Word and Excel - Required
- Salesforce knowledge - Preferred
- Background in construction/Building materials - Preferred
- Strong Technical writing experience - Required
