Maintenance Apprentice - 2nd Shift - Sekurit

This role entails in the repairs and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines and equipment (robots, conveyors, etc...), using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments respecting at all times safety rules. Repairs or replaces defective parts, using hand tools and power tools, as well as lubricating and cleaning parts. The role will also involve initiating devices to test their performance.

Essential Functions:

* Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by assisting in preventive maintenance requirements on production machines;
* Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; to troubleshooting malfunctions.
* Troubleshoots by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
* Remove and replace defective parts by properly dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
* Follow up on maintenance requests or problems as reported.
* Performs needed facility related troubleshooting and repairs always following safety principles
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as directed by mentor
* Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance of production equipment - 40%
Repair of production equipment - 25%
Facility related repairs and maintenance - 25%
Support all activities and learn from mentorship - 10%

As an automation apprentice, the base pay of this role is an hourly rate of $24.00 per hour.

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma (Required)
* BS Degree (Preferred)
* Technical or Vocational (Preferred)
* Strong work ethic, attention to detail, good attendance. (Required)
* Multilingual (English & Spanish Preferred)

Work Experience:

* 1 years Mechanical aptitude and advanced skills in one or more of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems (Required)
* 2 years of MRP - SAP (Preferred)

Physical Demands:
* This role requires working 95% on the manufacturing floor
* Manual dexterity is required to operate machinery and repair equipment
* Ability to climb stairs and ladders
* Ability to lift up to 45 pounds

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the base pay rate for this position, which is $24.00 per hour. The salary range for this position is $50,300 - $56,000 annually. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/quarterly bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
