Saint Francis University invites applications for a full-time 12-month position of Wastewater/Water Treatment Plant Operator. The Operator is directly responsible to the Wastewater/Water Treatment Plant Supervisor for the maintenance and operation of the water system, sanitary sewer system and storm sewer system.
High school graduate with a minimum of five years of related experience in operating facilities of similar size and type. Valid PA Driver’s license is required. Valid license for operation of Class AE-7,8,9,10,10,11,12, 13, and 14 Waterworks Facility from the PA DEP or willingness to obtain licenses. Valid license for operation of Class BE-1, 2, 3, and 4 Wastewater Treatment Facility from PA DEP or willingness to obtain licenses. Proficient interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and communication abilities as well as the ability to operate standard equipment used in the operation of the plants. Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and DEP Wastewater/Water software/spreadsheets. Successful completion of the OSHA responsible person trench training is preferred.
