Saint Francis School - Milton Campus is seeking a knowledgeable, engaging, and student-centered Language Arts Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering students reading, writing, communication, and critical thinking skills while creating a positive and challenging classroom environment.
The Language Arts teacher will work collaboratively with students, families, faculty, and administration to provide meaningful instruction that supports academic growth, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for literature and writing.
Responsibilities Include:

Teaching middle and/or high school Language Arts courses

Designing and delivering engaging lessons that support a college preparatory curriculum

Encouraging students to develop strong reading comprehension, analytical thinking, and written communication skills

Guiding students in the study of literature, grammar, vocabulary, and composition

Creating a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, discussion, collaboration, and a love of learning

Assessing student progress and providing timely, constructive feedback to support growth

Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of a range of learners

Collaborating with colleagues, administrators, and parents to promote student success

Maintaining accurate records of student progress in accordance with school policies

Supporting students in developing organization, study habits, and independent learning skills

Participating in school events, meetings, and initiatives that contribute to the overall mission of the school
Qualified Candidates Should Possess:

A bachelors degree in English, Education, or a related field

Teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification preferred

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Experience teaching middle school and/or high school students preferred

A passion for literature, writing, and helping students become thoughtful readers and effective communicators

The ability to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues
