- May have responsibility for staff;
- has authority to hire, fire and discipline;
- oversees the process for collecting, reporting and maintaining information necessary to ensure appropriate insurance coverage;
- coordinates all activities necessary for compliance with the Safe Medical Device Act; coordinates the investigation associated with an allegation of an EMTALA violation;
- participates in audits of departments/processes for compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Under the direction of leadership, implements Risk Management Program practices to avoid or reduce loss to the organization. Collaborates with the other departments to develop and assure implementation of patient safety and high reliability initiatives. Acts as a resource for department and all staff in addressing risk management issues.
Required
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in patient care related field
- Experience: 3 years in direct patient care
