Duties
- Assist with animal restraint, handling, and to ensure safety and comfort during examinations and procedures
- Prepare animals for surgery or diagnostic tests using aseptic techniques and proper animal husbandry practices
- Perform laboratory tests, including sample collection and analysis, to support diagnostic processes
- Take and develop X-ray images, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed
- Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet dental care routines
- Administer treatments such as animal catheterization, medication delivery, and wound care under supervision
- Maintain accurate records of animal physiology, anatomy, and treatment history to support ongoing patient care
- Handle dog training and pet care tasks to improve animal behavior and ease handling during veterinary visits
Qualifications
- Prior kennel experience or animal handling background preferred; strong animal husbandry skills are essential
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, and physiology required for effective communication and procedures
- Experience with veterinary critical care situations and laboratory work highly desirable
- Proven ability in dog handling, and animal restraint techniques necessary for daily tasks
- Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures, aseptic techniques, and pet care routines preferred

Pay: $15.50 - $22.00 per hour
