Part Time Outdoors/Indoors Teaching Assistant

Saint Edward's Montessori School is a traditional Montessori preschool located in a beautiful historic stone chapel in Eau Claire. We serve children ages 3 to 6 years and are passionate about fostering independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

As we expand our outdoor, nature-based learning program, we are seeking an energetic, and dependable Part-Time Teaching Assistant to support our Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and outdoor experiences.

About the Role

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, values hands-on learning, and loves spending time outdoors in every season. You will assist with classroom routines, outdoor exploration, free play, and lunchtime activities while helping create a nurturing, engaging environment where children develop independence and a joy of learning.

• Has a genuine love and respect for children
• Is energetic, positive, and enthusiastic
• Loves the natural world and enjoys working and playing outdoors for extended periods—in all Wisconsin weather!
• Is responsible and dependable
• Works well as part of a team and helps foster a collaborative, supportive environment
• Has relevant experience with children (helpful but not required)

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
• Potential to extend to Monday–Friday
• Some flexibility in scheduling may be available for the right candidate
• We follow the Eau Claire Area School District (ECASD) calendar
• No evenings, weekends, or school holidays required
