What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Assistant (1:1 On-Call) position at Saint Dominic's Family Services?
This is an On-Call position that assists the Special Education Teacher in the absence of the Teacher Aide with children in the transition from activity to activity, prepares instructional-materials as-directed by teacher, assists with class supervision and pro-active management of behavior, provides assistance in emergency situations: student illnesses, minor emergencies and crisis intervention, assists with the physical needs of the children: feeding, dressing and toileting.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must apply for NY State Teacher Assistant Certificate
One –two years experience working with special education pre-school children
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.28 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
