Full Time/Part Time Regular Part Time Total Hours Per Week 19 From Salary $20.00 To Salary $20.00
Job Summary: Prevocational services are individually designed to prepare a youth, age 14 or older with serious emotional disturbance, to engage in paid work, volunteer work or career exploration. Prevocational services are not job-specific, but rather are geared toward facilitating success in any work environment for children whose disabilities do not permit them access to other prevocational services.
Duties & Responsibilities
While performing the duties for this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively. The employee is required to stand; use mobility, handle, or feel and reach. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Service delivered in a one-to-one session or in a group setting
- Teach concepts such as compliance, attendance, task completion, problem solving, and safety based on a specific curriculum related to youth with emotional challenges
- Assist with facilitating appropriate work habits, acceptable job behaviors, exploring career options and learning job production requirements
- Work flexible hours when required
- Attend and participate in service plan reviews as well as treatment meetings when appropriate
- Home visitation
- Perform all reasonable tasks assigned by the program Supervisor and or Administrators.
- Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years experience working with children or children with severely emotionally disturbed children, OR;
- Associate’s degree plus three (3) years of related work experience with severely emotionally disturbed children.
