FAMILY THERAPIST

Full Time/Part Time Regular Full Time Total Hours Per Week 35 From Salary $62,500 To Salary $62,500

Job Summary: The Family Therapist is responsible for applying principles, methods, and therapeutic techniques to children and families enrolled in St. Dominic’s Family Based Therapeutic Intervention (FBTI) program. The role focuses on delivering family-centered therapeutic interventions to resolve conflict, strengthen family functioning, and promote a stable, unified home environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide in-home family therapy services to children and families to address conflict and support stabilization of the family system.
• Utilize evidence-based family therapy approaches and clinical interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records, progress notes, and program reports in accordance with St. Dominic’s policies and Office of Mental Health (OMH) regulations.
• Collaborate with families, agency staff, and community-based providers to coordinate care and support services.
• Work closely with the Program Coordinator and other supervisory staff to ensure quality service delivery.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and supervision as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Master’s degree in a clinical treatment field required.
• One year of experience working in a clinical setting with high-risk children and families required.
• Demonstrated experience and competency in Family Therapy approaches and interventions required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to effectively communicate with clients, staff, and community partners.
• Regular use of computers and electronic documentation systems.
• Must be able to travel using public transportation, including subway systems where applicable.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• May be required to lift up to 25 pounds or more.
