Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and faith/religious development. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Assess and document children’s progress through provided curruculum tools and individual observations.
- Provide individualized support to children with special needs or developmental challenges.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that promotes child welfare.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance curriculum development and instructional strategies.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities to ensure safety and engagement.
Qualifications
- CDA, Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience in childcare is essential.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in preschool education.
- Experience working with children in a preschool setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Skills in curriculum development are beneficial.
- A commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment that prioritizes child welfare.
- Clearances required to work at Pennsylvania DHS regulated child care facility. Act 33: Child Abuse History, Act 34: Criminal Record, Act 114: FBI Fingerprint, NSOR (National Sex Offenders Registry) Verification
- Infant-Child First Aid/CPR Certification preferred
