Position Summary
Saint Ann School is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Family Liaison and ESL Teacher to support English Language Learners while serving as a bridge between the school and our Spanish-speaking families. The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, effective communication, and the mission of Catholic education.
Family Liaison Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking families.
- Build positive relationships with families to encourage active participation in their children's education.
- Translate and interpret written and verbal communication between the school and families from English to Spanish.
- Coordinate and facilitate parent meetings, conferences, workshops, and family engagement events.
- Support enrollment, registration, and orientation for new multilingual families.
ESL Teacher Responsibilities
- Provide small group instruction for ESL students to offer support alongside classroom instruction.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse linguistic and academic needs of English learners.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support language development across content areas.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that values students' cultural and linguistic diversity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Education, ESL, Bilingual Education, or a related field.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trusting relationships with families.
