What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Practice Manager - Geriatrics and Internal Medicine Clinics position at Saint Alphonsus?
The Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is looking for a collaborative, operational-focused, and experienced Senior Practice Manager for our Geriatrics and Internal Medicine clinics!
- As the Senior Practice Manager, you will oversee the operations of the Geriatrics and Internal Medicine clinics including managing providers and Locums staff between both specialties.
- Clinic locations include: Eagle Health Plaza (IM and Geriatrics), Boise Regional Medical Center Geriatrics, and South Nampa Geriatrics.
- This position oversees 5 Internal Medicine Providers (physicians), 10 Geriatric Providers (physicians, NPs, and PAs) 1 Lead RN, 2 Pharmacists, 2 Outpatient Social Workers, 1 LPN, 10 MAs, 1 Lead Patient Service Rep (PSR), and 6 Patient Service Representatives.
- You would have a dyad relationship with the Medical Directors for each site or subspecialty and will be responsible in carrying out policies, protocols, etc., under their lead.
- Manage more than 10 providers and 20 non-provider colleagues across all clinics.
- You will be responsible for the workflow functions, outcomes, customer satisfaction and quality measures of the practices with the result of meeting or exceeding the established financial and other objectives set in cooperation with medical group leadership.
- You will be responsible for the following areas: Leadership/Management, Operations, Human Resource Management, Customer Service, Financial Management, Quality & Compliance, Business Development, and Communication and Teamwork.
- Participate in health system initiatives and projects related to these specialties.
- Spend time at each of the three clinic locations and be visible and present to staff and providers.
- An ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of ambulatory practice and operations and customer requirements.
- You will have strong communication skills, are highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities.
- You will also be adaptable to change and shifting priorities, engage with a variety of roles, and work with providers on metrics and other priorities to support their practices.
- Lastly you will have strong collaboration skills, solid analytical skills, and a great deal of self-initiative.

- Must possess knowledge normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare related field, with eight (8) or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of supervisor/manager experience required.
- Must have active driving privileges. If, during the course of employment, driving privileges change or colleague receives a driving citation, the colleague is required to notify their supervisor and/or HR.
