Position Summary & Highlights
36 hours per week, 4 - 9 hour shifts, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, around the hours of 7:45am - 5:30pm

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required. *MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:

Position Summary & Highlights
- This MA position will work with a busy physician to the clinic.
- Saint Alphonsus pediatric primary care providers are committed to treating each child like they are one of a kind because they are.
- From well-child visits and immunizations to diagnosing and treating chronic conditions, our goal is to help ensure your child grows up with every opportunity to be healthy and happy.
- In addition to rooming and taking vitals, you will perform POC testing, newborn screens, vision, hearing, and developmental screenings.
- You will also administer vaccinations and work closely with the providers on some minor procedures.
- Pediatrics is a unique specialty in that not only is the child the patient, but their parents are also typically present at the clinic visit.
- An ideal candidate is passionate about working with kids and parents, has a sense of urgency, is team-oriented and flexible, and enjoys a fun and fast-paced work environment!
- You will also have strong self-initiative and communication skills, enjoy developing efficiencies, being part of a supportive team, and willing to assist in all areas of the clinic.

Minimum Qualifications
- American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
- American Medical Technologists (RMA)
- National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
- American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
- Completion of either 6 months MA experience or completion of 100-hour MA externship is required even with MA certification.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
- *Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT or CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
