Surgical Services ClinicWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at the Nampa General Surgical Services clinic, located on the Nampa Medical Center campus.
Position Summary & Highlights:
This role will involve assisting with the delivery of patient care under the direction of providers and an RN Supervisor in our busy surgery clinic.
We specialize in surgical care for a wide range of conditions, including abdominal, organ, and skin issues – such as hernia surgery and robotic complex abdominal wall reconstruction.
Our surgical teams are experts in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, as well as advanced subspecialty disciplines like General Surgery, Esophageal Health and Reflux, Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, and Surgical Oncology.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will support a new general surgeon to the clinic, assist with rooming patients, complete chart prep, and participate in minor procedures.
You will also perform patient follow-up, schedule surgeries, assist with referrals, and conduct prior authorizations.
Flexibility, multitasking, and adaptability are essential skills for this role.

Work Schedule:
40 hours per week, Mondays - Fridays, 4-9 hour days, with a half day; exact schedule TBD.
Typical clinic hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm, but may vary based on clinic needs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
MA certification from an approved agency (e.g. American Association of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists) within 90 days of hire.
New graduates require MA certificate of completion from an accredited program or school and either a 100-hour externship or 6 months MA experience.
Basic Life Support certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network required at hire.
