Description

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Associates degree in Anesthesia Technology or completion of an accredited anesthesia machine training course or a two (2) year combination of previous on-the-job training and experience is required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
• Familiarity with basic anesthesia machine troubleshooting, basic pharmaceutical knowledge, aseptic techniques, sterilization, and disinfection knowledge of supplies and equipment are required.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed manner is required.
• Certification as an anesthesia technician and one year of experience as an anesthesia technician is preferred.
• Human Anatomy, Airway Anatomy, and Medical Terminology knowledge is preferred.
