What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineering Intern (Roadway Design) position at Sain Associates, Inc.?
Birmingham, AL / Summer 2026 / 1 Position Available
At Sain Associates, we are proud to be one of Alabama's premier multi-disciplined civil engineering firms. We are a ±70-person team, offering services in Traffic/Transportation Planning and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, CE&I, and GIS.
We have a new internship opportunity in our Birmingham office. We are looking for students who are currently pursuing their bachelor's degree in civil engineering and are passionate about positively shaping their communities through Transportation Design.
Our internship offers students valuable project work experience within a consulting firm. We take great pride in witnessing the positive impact of our efforts in communities, and we want our interns to share in that sense of fulfillment. By the end of the internship, we aim for our interns to have participated in projects where they can clearly see the difference they've made. This could involve contributing to the design of new roadways, sidewalks, and multi-use trails. Throughout the program, interns may go on site visits, research project specific requirements, coordinate utilities, and participate in team meetings.
