About the Role
A leading specialty healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to develop and manage pricing strategies for complex pharmaceutical products and services. This role is ideal for an analytically minded professional who excels in financial modeling, market research, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will analyze drug pricing trends, evaluate competitive benchmarks, model financial impacts, and support strategic decision-making across finance, pharmacy operations, procurement, and leadership teams.
What You’ll Do
- Build and refine pricing models to evaluate cost structures, reimbursement scenarios, and margin performance.
- Conduct market and competitor research to inform pricing recommendations.
- Produce dashboards and reports that translate data into actionable business insights.
- Assess regulatory and industry developments that may impact pricing strategies.
- Partner with internal teams to align pricing decisions with financial goals and operational requirements.
- Support ad-hoc pricing and financial analyses for business initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of pricing processes, accuracy standards, and governance.
Top Required Skill Areas (Priority Order)
- Advanced Excel expertise
- Must be able to manipulate large datasets, build complex models, structure analyses, and perform scenario modeling.
- Analytical / Quantitative Rigor
- Ability to interpret pricing trends, evaluate market shifts, and produce actionable insights.
- Power BI and SQL proficiency
- They operate a hosted SQL data lake with Power BI layered on top.
- Ability to query, transform, and visualize data is essential.
- Secondary preferences (trainable):
- Working knowledge of U.S. healthcare payers, 3rd-party payer systems, pharmacy benefits, reimbursement models.
- Pharmaceutical pricing exposure is not required but helpful. Mark can train strong technical/data candidates.
