Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Unix LDAP Engineer with 10 years of experience supporting secure LDAP environments within large-scale enterprise infrastructures. This individual will be responsible for administering and securing LDAP/LDAPS environments, managing Unix/Linux systems, supporting DNS services, and leading server lifecycle activities including builds, upgrades, patching, migrations, and troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate will possess strong infrastructure engineering expertise, a security-first mindset, and experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer and maintain LDAP/LDAPS directory services in enterprise environments
• Configure, secure, and troubleshoot LDAP authentication and directory integrations
• Manage Unix/Linux server environments including builds, installations, upgrades, and patching
• Perform server migrations and infrastructure modernization initiatives
• Administer and support DNS infrastructure and related services
• Implement system hardening, access controls, and security best practices
• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability across infrastructure environments
• Troubleshoot complex system, authentication, and connectivity issues
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and standards
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams on enterprise initiatives
• Support production incidents, root cause analysis, and remediation efforts
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from a reputed institution
• 10 years of hands-on experience with Unix/Linux system administration
• Strong experience administering LDAP and Secure LDAP (LDAPS) environments
• Experience with DNS server administration and troubleshooting
• Expertise with server builds, installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
• Knowledge of system security, authentication, and access management concepts
• Experience working in enterprise-scale production environments
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with OpenLDAP, 389 Directory Server, or similar LDAP platforms
• Knowledge of Kerberos, PAM, SSO, MFA, or Identity & Access Management solutions
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Ubuntu, or Solaris
• Scripting experience with Shell, Python, or Perl
• Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools
• Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments
• Understanding of PKI, certificates, and encryption technologies
