Description
SAIC is seeking an intern currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, an undergraduate program majoring in electrical engineering. The individual will work under the guidance of the US Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) and SAIC scientists to build, operate, and repair electrical control system. Responsibilities
- Operate, repair, and maintain a variety of integrated control systems for laser based experiments
- Develop electronic and optoelectronic control systems for precise delivery of laser energy.
- Interface with Principle Investigators to determine priority tasks
- Provide regular updates to principle investigators on project progress
- Present work at an end of summer workshop
- Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a program working toward a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Ability to independently learn and develop new skills
- Classwork and/or practical experience with electrical circuits
- Software development experience
