Description

SAIC is seeking a Security Specialist to provide programmatic support to a program within the Program Executive Office's Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power portfolio at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.

Fun stuff you will do on the job

• Perform day-to-day facility management tasks (responsibilities include - escort, maintenance of facility access control entry systems, etc.).
• Develop and administer a document accountability system (responsibilities include - processing inbound and outbound classified mail and receipt records as well as data transfers, classification reviews of inbound and outbound correspondence, destruction of classified materials, processing magnetic media for accountability, etc.).
• Support personnel security processes (responsibilities include - processing visit notices, maintaining personnel security files, process Program Access Requests and Program Security Questionnaires, performing indoctrinations etc.).
• Support the development and execution of the facility Standard Operating Procedures.
• Support security compliance inspections and personnel data checks in the Joint Access Database Environment system.
• Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and rolled in the Continuous Vetting program (if applicable).
  
  

Qualifications

This is you

• Bachelors and 9 years or more of relevant experience. Additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of education.
• Complete DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training within six months of starting on contract (if performing SAP personnel security functions); JPAS training within six months of starting on contract (if performing SCI personnel security functions); and Joint Access Database Environment (JADE) training within six months of starting on contract (if performing SAP personnel security functions).
• Knowledge in the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) / Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) with a focus on ICD 705 series, DoD 5205.07 series, Executive Orders, etc.
• Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and rolled in the Continuous Vetting program (if applicable).
• Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Programs and consent to a polygraph examination (as required).

Target salary range $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
