Description
SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician II to support the U.S. Navy in Crane, IN.
JOB RESPONSIBLITES:
- Disassembly/assembly, inspection, overhaul/sustainment and system testing of missiles and landing force munitions utilizing Standard Operating Procedures and current instructions.
- Painting and stenciling of missiles and/or containers, banding of pallets and recording documentation of configuration changes.
- Disassembling various types of all-up missiles and landing force munitions into subassemblies to allow for parts repair, parts replacement and/or configuration changes.
- Inspecting, testing and measuring the operating characteristics of components.
- Performing visual inspection and testing of components for evidence of mechanical, electrical or physical damages.
- Utilizing special mechanical/electrical testing or measuring devices to perform inspection.
- Documenting all actions in an electronic traveler system.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of experience.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. Interim Secret needed to start. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
- Must be able to use assorted hand tools.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Word are a plus.
- Data entry experience is a plus.
