Description

SAIC is seeking a Requirements Analyst / Product Owner to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) in modernizing and supporting mission‑critical solutions. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a foundation in requirements gathering, product support, and stakeholder coordination. The selected candidate will work closely with experienced analysts, technical teams, and customers to help ensure requirements are well understood, documented, and aligned with project objectives. Strong communication and organizational skills are key to succeeding in this role.

Note This position will be Hybrid (1-2 days per week onsite) at the Pentagon or the MARK Center (Arlington, VA)

Job Duties

• Assist in requirements discussions, including gathering, organizing, and documenting high‑level and detailed requirements under guidance from senior team members.
• Draft clear, basic user stories and acceptance criteria to support development tasks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and senior analysts to refine requirements and ensure they align with business needs.
• Support backlog organization by helping track, prioritize, and update requirements as directed by Product Owners and project leadership.
• Work with development teams to clarify requirements, address questions, and ensure user stories are actionable.
• Participate in customer feedback discussions and help incorporate updates or changes into requirements and documentation.
• Assist with project documentation tasks such as meeting minutes, peer reviews, and status updates.
• Provide support during customer demonstrations and help capture feedback for future enhancements.
  
  

Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelors and two (2) years or more of related experience; Masters and zero (0) years of related experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to clearly document information and interact with team members and stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented and able to maintain accuracy when managing multiple pieces of information.
• Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative, fast‑paced team environment.
• Basic familiarity with technical documentation practices.
• Willingness to learn how to translate requirements into user stories and support backlog management.
  
  

Required Clearance

• Must have an active Secret Security Clearance to start.
  
  

Target salary range $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
