Description

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Radar Engineer to join our elite team supporting Landmark AOS, SAIC’s flagship Prime SETA program in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS provides critical Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) expertise to the NRO’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED)—the organization responsible for architecting, acquiring, and integrating the nation’s most advanced space and ground systems across the full end‑to‑end lifecycle.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor guiding the development, integration, and modernization of next‑generation GEOINT and radar-based mission processing capabilities. You will work side‑by‑side with world‑class engineers, government leaders, and mission partners to shape resilient, high‑performance solutions that directly impact national security.

Key Responsibilities to include

  • Advance RF/Radar resiliency initiatives by partnering with IC stakeholders to evaluate emerging technologies, identify vulnerabilities, and drive mission‑enhancing solutions.
  • Maintain technical cognizance across a diverse GEOINT mission processing portfolio—tracking baselines, schedules, dependencies, risks, and cost drivers to ensure program success.
  • Advise senior government leadership on architectural decisions, investment strategies, acquisition priorities, and risk assessments that shape the future of the Ground Enterprise.
  • Engage directly with development clients, providing oversight of software development, integration activities, and compliance with government requirements and mission objectives.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Systems Engineers, Acquisition Experts, and Domain Specialists to guide the acquisition of modern, scalable mission processing applications.
  • Lead strategic planning efforts, including technical trade studies, future architecture definition, and recommendations for software services and enterprise modernization.
  • Perform performance assessments and provide cost, schedule, and risk impact analyses for current and future Ground architecture implementations.

Qualifications

Required Education And Experience

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Poly.
  • Experience in Radar/RF phenomenology specific to collection and processing methodology.
  • Experience in Radar/RF systems to include tasking, command & control, collection, mission processing, or dissemination.
  • Experience in requirements development and definition activities.
  • Experience with IC, DoD, and/or commercial space architectures, systems and/or operations/Domain knowledge in Ground Software, Space Development Programs or Mission Operations programs.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and verbal / written communication skills, able to convey information across multiple customer and corporate audiences.
  • Familiarity with MS Office tool suite.
