Job Responsibilities
Program Scheduling and Budget Support
- Develop, maintain, and track detailed project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
- Monitor and report on project budgets, providing accurate financial forecasts and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Support the preparation of budgetary and financial summaries for leadership and stakeholders.
- Assist in procurement activities, including sourcing materials, preparing purchase requests, and coordinating with vendors.
- Monitor procurement timelines to ensure materials and resources are available to meet development and deployment needs.
- Maintain communication with suppliers and vendors to address delivery schedules, changes, or discrepancies.
- Coordinate shipping and transportation logistics to ensure RF systems, components, and materials are delivered safely and on time.
- Develop and maintain shipping documentation and records to ensure compliance with program and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with vendors and transportation providers to troubleshoot any logistic challenges or delays.
- Assist in developing and maintaining internal procedures, policies, and process documentation for program operations.
- Work with other team members to draft, review, and update documents related to program activities and requirements.
- Support configuration management efforts to track program deliverables, changes, and version control.
- Maintain and update program records, files, and documentation to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide cross-disciplinary support for program execution.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline program operations and resource usage.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Program Management, Logistics, or a related field plus three (3) or more years of experience in program support, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, or logistics. Additional years of experience accepted in leiu of degree.
- Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process if necessary.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail in managing multiple program activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting documentation or procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with defense projects and workflows, including procurement and transportation of sensitive or mission-critical equipment.
- Experience supporting aerospace or maritime system development programs.
- Working knowledge of configuration management practices and tools.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD or other regulatory compliance practices relevant to program operations.
