Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will
- Design & Development
- Develop and analyze static and dynamic mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging designs
- Ensure designs meet all mechanical performance criteria, including load and vibration requirements
- Generate innovative solutions for new system designs and drive continuous improvement for existing systems
- Technical Expertise
- Conduct feasibility studies, performance testing, and risk assessments for new and modified designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer needs and project requirements
- Documentation & Collaboration
- Provide critical design information to drafting teams for documentation
- Review detailed engineering drawings, ensuring specification compliance
- Support prototype fabrication and direct support personnel as needed throughout the design implementation process
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Two (2) or more years of professional experience in mechanical design
- Demonstrated design experience, including hands-on work with SolidWorks
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
