Description
SAIC is seeking a Logistics Associate to provide support for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center for multiple programs.
Job Duties
- Supporting procurements and property management of Government material at SAIC
- Source, negotiate and purchase IT Hardware and software, fabricated parts, machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies and incidental services necessary for operation of an organization or program
- Interface with vendors to obtain quotes; process Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders
- Update Excel spreadsheets with relevant information; kitting and tracking inventory; interface with customers to develop procurement requirements and to provide status updates
- Compile and analyze statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives
- Monitor performance of suppliers
- Track data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes
- Prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors and zero or more of related experience; experience in lieu of degree
- MS Office proficiency including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Detail oriented and organized
- Quick learner and proactive
- Ability to manage logistical issues
- Ability to acquire a SECRET government clearance
- DoD Experience
- Procurement Experience
- Ability to work with databases
