SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Unmanned Maritime Systems Support (UMSS) effort. This program will entail support of the Expeditionary Unmanned Systems (ExUS) project, unmanned equipment development and testing and logistics support for the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC).
This position is contingent upon award news, expected September 2026. This position is on site in San Diego, CA.
The Electrical Engineer will provide electrical engineering support to the Autonomous Low Profile Vessel (ALPV) program to design, develop, integrate, and evaluate the reliability, maintainability, and supportability of developmental support equipment used with ALPV systems.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 4 years related experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Must have an active secret clearance on first day of employment
- 4 years of experience with design, testing, production, and documentation of marine environment hardware
- 3 years’ experience with integrating and debugging multi-domain systems (mechanical, software, electrical) for
- robust maritime system performance
- 3 years’ experience with integrating, setting up and maintaining communications networks, including satcom, RF and wired networks
- 3 years’ experience maintaining and troubleshooting power and power distribution systems
- Experience with USV operations in support of military exercises
- Experience developing curriculum and training to enhance the military’s understanding of autonomous and communication systems.
- Proficiency with python, Java, C#/C , electronics designing & prototyping, power systems, networking, additive manufacturing, and communications systems
Salary : $120,001 - $160,000
