Description

We are seeking highly motivated Electrical Engineers to join our team, supporting the design, development, troubleshooting, testing, and in-service support of the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and/or the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG). These critical systems are key to naval aircraft carrier operations, utilizing advanced electromagnetic and modular technologies to ensure reliable aircraft launches and recoveries.

This role is suited for both entry-level candidates (0-6 years of experience) and mid-level professionals (5 years of experience), offering opportunities to work on cutting-edge defense technologies. Candidates should possess strong electrical engineering expertise, demonstrate resilience in challenging environments, and be ready to travel, including internationally and aboard naval vessels, to provide hands-on system support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design, analyze, optimize, and troubleshoot electrical components and systems for EMALS/AAG.
  • Assist with the development and review of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical specifications, and system documentation.
  • Conduct engineering investigations to identify and resolve system issues, including reviewing and performing repairs or providing technical recommendations for manufacturing components.
  • Perform system testing, validation, and evaluation to ensure compliance with performance, quality, and safety standards.
  • Provide technical recommendations to address electrical challenges and improve system reliability and operational safety.
  • Troubleshoot and develop procedures, including responding to shipboard emergency calls or supporting installations and testing outside normal working hours.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports for stakeholders and engage in reviewing engineering change requests (e.g., REI/Waivers/Variances).
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Travel as required (up to 5–30%, including internationally), onboard U.S. naval vessels and to remote sites to ensure system performance.

About EMALS/AAG

EMALS is a state-of-the-art electromagnetic aircraft launch system employed on Ford-class aircraft carriers, and AAG is a modular system designed for the controlled recovery of naval aircraft. These systems are critical to national security and the operational success of the U.S. Navy’s aircraft carriers.

If you are passionate about advanced engineering, defense systems, and contributing to national security, we encourage you to apply and join our impactful team!
