SAIC has an opening for a Defense Engineering Intern to support the TTADS NIWC LANT team on customer site in Charleston, SC.
This is a paid Internship opportunity.
Job Description
- Limited use and/or application of technical principles, theories, and concepts.
- Receives assignments in the form of specific tasks for the work to be completed.
- Work is reviewed by management to measure meeting objectives and schedules.
- Supports preparation of detail design.
- Support development with embedded software for military systems.
- Computer / Software Engineering – support full software life cycle development (requirements analysis, design, code, integration, test, documentation and support) following CMMI processes for military systems.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Currently enrolled in a STEM or technical degree path and two (2) years of college or work related experience.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, virtual meeting, and using cloud based tools.
- Solid work experience with customers/resolving issues while meeting schedule requirements.
- Must possess good oral and written communications skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be motivated, adaptable, and flexible.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to encourage, inspire, and participate in teamwork.
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (US Citizenship). Some programs may allow for Intern to start without clearance (active clearance preferred).
- This internship includes work travel in support of a customer event from July 26th to August 14th. This internship is contingent on being able to support this event and the work activities associated.
