Title: Instructional Aide- Part Time- ALC/SDPA

Work Schedule: 10 months (35 hours/week)

Salary Classification: Non-Exempt/Support Staff Wage Schedule Group B

General Statement of Responsibilities

Enhance the learning environment of students through individualized reinforcement of teacher led learning

activities both in person and online

• assist with classroom related organizational tasks
• support student and data management
• reinforce a positive and meaningful learning environment
• utilize a variety of digital platforms
  
  

Essential Functions

• Instructional Duties
• Assist in preparation of data
• Assist in preparation of physical environments
• Support continuity of learning processes
• Assist in parent activities
• Other tasks as assigned
• Student Interaction
• Supervise as assigned
• Provide individual/group instructional support (enrichment and/or remedial)
• Assist with assessment
• Other tasks as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Education, Training, and Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent, AND an Associate's degree OR 60 credit hours from an
  
  

accredited four year college or university OR a passing score on an approved paraprofessional

assessment (under NCLB)

• No prior experience required
• Ability to communicate and work well with students, parents, and staff
• Spanish language proficiency is preferred
• Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift 25lbs if required
• Ability to operate district transportation vehicles, if necessary
• Ability to perform basic first aide, if needed
