General Definition of Work:
Performs intermediate administrative support work assisting and processing customer requests for various records,
certificates, and licenses and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of
assigned personnel.
Essential Functions:
• Processes and maintains various documents, applications, and files related to vital record keeping for the County.
Includes Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, and Marriage Certificates. Confidential responsibility of all files.
Proofreads ballot verbiage.
- Provides customer service by answering phones, greeting customers, providing assistance, and responding to various
processing document for Military Discharge (DD214), Conceal Pistol License (CPL), and Assumed Name Certificates
(DBA); searching genealogy; recording missing persons; and processing new Notary Bonds.
- Maintains cash drawer and accepts payments for records provided, court fines, restitutions, bail, and bonds. Records
- Processes mail.
- Prepares jury questionnaires by printing and sorting documents, scanning completed questionnaires, and mailing
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience: Moderate (1 years) experience in an office setting.
Special Requirements:
✓ Commissioned as a Notary Public within 6 months of hire.
