Job Summary
- The IT Analyst I provides entry-level technical support for users, systems, and network-related issues. This role is responsible for resolving helpdesk tickets, assisting with PC and printer setup, supporting basic application functions, and escalating complex issues as needed. The Analyst I is a key member of the front-line support team and contributes to documentation and user training.
Essential Functions
- Responds to helpdesk tickets and user inquiries, resolving issues related to hardware, software, printers, and login credentials
- Assists with computer imaging, deployment, and setup for new hires or replacements
- Provides basic troubleshooting and support for Microsoft Office and other enterprise software
- Escalates unresolved technical problems to IT Analyst II or III
- Maintains inventory logs for hardware and software
- Participates in user orientation and basic IT training
- Maintains documentation for routine IT procedures and knowledgebase updates
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows, Office, and networked systems
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
Licenses/Certifications
- None Required
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in a helpdesk or IT support role
