Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a DBT/CBT Child/Teen Therapist at SageMind Psychology in Brooklyn, NY, with some flexibility for remote work. The therapist will provide evidence-based therapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), for children and adolescents. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, creating treatment plans, providing individual and group therapy sessions, maintaining accurate client records, and collaborating with families and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care. The therapist will also engage in consultation and participate in training activities to support professional growth.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in delivering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families in therapeutic settings
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and crisis management
- Exceptional communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and comfort with hybrid work environments
- PhD, PsyD, Postdoctoral Psychologist, LMSW or LCSW levels
- Training or certification in DBT and/or CBT is highly preferred
- Commitment to continuing education and staying informed on evidence-based practices
- Must be available to come in person on Tuesdays and Fridays (not negotiable)
