Profile Summary:

We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong Android development experience and exposure to platform-level software development.

Candidates with direct Android TV experience are highly preferred. However, we are also interested in Android developers who have worked beyond traditional application development and have experience with Android platform integration, Android Framework, Android HAL, middleware, system services, native C/C , Embedded Linux, device drivers, BSP development, or full product software integration.

Experience with multimedia products, Android-based consumer electronics, smart devices, set-top boxes (STB), connected home products, telecom platforms, or operator environments is highly desirable.

Team Description

You will join an R&D team specialized in embedded software development for:

• Set-Top Boxes (STB)
• Video Sound Boxes (VSB)
• Wireless Surround Speaker Systems (WSS)

The team develops and maintains Android TV platforms used by leading telecom operators worldwide. Activities span the entire software stack, from Android platform integration and middleware development to applications, framework components, and system services.

You will collaborate closely with global engineering teams and technology partners including Google, Broadcom, chipset vendors, and international operators.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong Android development experience using Java and/or Kotlin
• Experience developing, integrating, or delivering Android-based products
• Android Studio
• Git / GitLab
• Jira
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of software integration and validation processes
• Experience working within the Android ecosystem beyond application UI development

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Android-based software features for embedded products.
• Integrate third-party software components and applications into Android-based platforms.
• Contribute to Android middleware, framework, HAL, and system-level software components.
• Support software integration, validation, debugging, and issue resolution.
• Participate in platform bring-up, software qualification, and release activities.
• Collaborate with product, validation, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Investigate and resolve customer and platform-related software issues.
• Contribute to technical documentation and development best practices.
• Explore and integrate new technologies, including AI-enabled solutions within Android platforms.
